Sionilli Dynasty: The Guardians of the Vitaen Brotherhood
Neera is the daughter of Fen’Roth Riordanth and Velka Montefey. Born in her father’s reclaimed village; he came back to reclaim it from Shadowfell tainted-fey creatures. Much like her father when he was young, she is intelligent, graceful, humorous, and talented and much more than Fen’Roth had hoped for her. Neera also had one thing out of the ordinary that he did not expect- her song. She sang with such power and emotion that her empathic abilities were amplified through her singing. A true Bladesingers’ voice, nonetheless, she even said to her father “you use your song through your weapon; I use myself as the weapon!!!” Neera’s’ abilities were helped along by her father and he trained her in swordsmanship. It was all in vain; however, nothing could prepare her for the events to follow. 57 years after the “Breaking”, the Nephyk’sha Shadowfell that had invaded their remote hidden village long ago had been reawakened by the cataclysm. Once they came, there wasn’t much of a chance to stop them. What ensued was considered a horrendous massacre. Neera at the age of only 10 witnessed the slaughter of the village first hand through the floorboards of her family home. When it was over there wasn’t much left and the remaining 3 surviving families including Neera’s’ left the village. But with the tragic death of her mother, her family was broken. She saw her mother limp in her father’s arms that day. Neera asked him over and over “WHY!!!!….why didn’t you save mom…” She blamed her father for her mother’s death from then on. To add to her resentment of him Fen’Roth left her in the hands of an old friend and abandoned her. Neera’s mentor trained her for the next 8 years of her life and she became a demon-hunter. From there she joined a Bardic College associated with a Church of Lliira. She even became one of church’s first Holy Killer’s for even they had need of an enforcer in these dark times. 10 years later at the age of 28 (current time) she received a letter one evening by none other than her Father. Neera hated the idea of him but loved the idea of what he proposed: joining an enforcement group called the Vitaen Brotherhood as a guide to demon-hunting. She had heard of them and knew of the high authority of the group and knew it was a perfect opportunity to make a greater difference in the world. Neera packs up and leaves with the envoy sent by her father to head off and join the Guardians of the Vitaen Brotherhood.
